A more compact and lightweight version of the versatile ATC-Guide, the ATC-Alpine Guide is designed for quick, efficient ascents in the mountains. Weighing only 73 grams, this featherlight belay/rappel device is tailored for ropes with diameters ranging from 8.1 to 8.5 millimetres but can accommodate ropes from 6.9 to 9mm. The oval-shaped anchor hole ensures smooth rope feeding and retrieval, and the guide mode feature enables the belaying of one or two seconding climbers from an anchor. Various friction modes provide the ideal amount of stopping power when lowering or rappelling.
